Sushi Mashi IDD PIK 2

I’ve been to Sushi Mashi at PIK 2 three times now, and each visit has been consistently enjoyable. Overall, I’d rate my experience here a solid 9/10. First of all, the atmosphere is amazing. The space feels modern yet cozy, with a vibe that makes it great for both casual meals with friends and slightly more special occasions. It’s the kind of place where you can linger a bit longer, enjoying not just the food but also the ambiance. The service has been excellent every time. Staff are attentive, welcoming, and quick to assist without being overbearing. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted warmly, and throughout the meal, they make sure everything runs smoothly. That kind of consistency really stands out. And of course, the highlight is the food itself. The sushi here is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each roll and dish feels carefully prepared, and you can taste the quality in every bite. It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything I’ve tried has been satisfying and delicious. All in all, Sushi Mashi PIK 2 is definitely one of my go-to spots in the area. Great food, great service, and a great vibe—it’s a combination that keeps me coming back.

Sushi Mashi is a no pork, no lard Japanese restaurant that has two outlets in PIK. The one that we visited was in Indonesia Design District (IDD). The restaurant is fully indoor, with spacious seating and tranquil Japanese decorations. This Japanese restaurant is also suitable for families. There are so many menu variations here, from appetizers, salads, soups, sushi, sashimi, chirashi, tacos, oysters, donburi, agemono, skewers, lunch sets, noodles, and desserts, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Let's see what I tried! Inari Smoked Duck Tartar (IDR 20,000) This is unique and all my favorite as I like inari and it is combined with smoked duck, tartar sauce, and tobiko. Recommended! Gyu Garlic Fried Rice with Onsen Egg (IDR 130,000) Since there are so many food choices here, I needed more time to decide. Finally, I chose this menu, recommended at Sushi Mashi.  It consists of garlic fried rice with sliced tender beef and an onsen egg. My favorite here is definitely their tender gyu (beef). Kimochi (IDR 80,000) Cocktail with beautiful flower decorations on the glass and sprinkled with edible gold foil. This cocktail has vanilla in it, with a good smell and is less sweet.

Honestly, I thought it was going to be real expensive sushi but it was pretty affordable! Chirashi bowl is good, we got a salmon mentai sushi which was my favorite, and a crazy tuna sushi... it is not the best but still very good! Pasta is very creamy I think it made us tooo full we can't stomach anything else. But the real deal here? The atmosphere! Wonderful. Very quite and intimate. I went here with my friend, and we were just sitting there in silence because of the very chill ambience.

It's a solid choice if you’re craving sushi. There are plenty of options on the menu, so you’re bound to find something you like. I've been here a few times, and it’s always a decent experience. Not the absolute best, but definitely worth a visit!

Cool place for escape hot weather at idd delicious but a bit pricey Recom for a try

I was actually quite surprised to find a decent Japanese spot in IDD. I initially thought this whole place is only pure hype without any actual good food to eat. Turns out I was wrong. This place, although it didn't exactly blow the standards of Japanese restaurants in Jakarta, was actually quite good overall. I tend to have particular methods in evaluating Japanese restaurants. One of them being how well they can make a zaru soba. It did take a while for them to make, but lo and behold, I was pleasantly surprised! The texture was perfect, the temperature was very chilled, and the dipping sauce was delightful. That alone made me love the restaurant already. Along with that some of the favorites I loved were actually the garlic fried rice and the salmon mentai on crispy nori. I find pleasure in these "less sexy" dishes and they seem to execute it really well. I loved it and would probably order them again the next time I come. The interiors were absolutely amazing. I gotta say that this is perhaps the best looking restaurant in all of IDD. Both the interiors and the exteriors caught the attention of every passerby and would make anyone passing curious. Photos looked great inside and the vibe transports you away from the hot humid polluted Jakarta right outside of their windows. Love the restaurant, prices were reasonable, and I will 100% go back again.
